(Portland, Maine) On the same night the Boston Bruins clinched the Stanley Cup, the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development (MCED) proudly applauded three former clients as they won sixty percent of the Entreverge awards at the third annual Awards Party June 14 at Grace Restaurant in Portland. The high-energy convergence of area entrepreneurs was organized by PROPEL, a networking organization for young business professionals affiliated with the Portland Regional Chamber.

The winning former MCED clients were:

• Heather Chandler, president and founder of the Sunrise Guide, a resource for learning about, supporting and living in a healthy and sustainable way in southern and coastal Maine (Sunrise Guide incubated at MCED);

• Jason Cianchette, owner and founder of Liquid Wireless, a lead generation company focused on the mobile web (Liquid Wireless incubated at MCED and participated in the 2009 Top Gun class);

• Becky McKinnell, owner of iBEC Creative, a leading graphic and web design company that delivers innovative solutions to help businesses succeed (iBec incubated at MCED).

Each winner received a free membership to PROPEL and the Portland chamber, as well as consulting advice, signage and access to experienced entrepreneurs. Included in the prize package is a Business Model Audit from MCED’s Executive Director Don Gooding, who, after winners were announced, told the Entreverge audience about the upcoming Top Gun Entrepreneurship Acceleration program and the $100,000 Juice Pitch Competition. Three out of the fifteen Entreverge winners have participated in Top Gun to help convert recognition into business acceleration.
