Since 1982 the USDA has funded thousands of small business R&D projects through their annual SBIR solicitation. Research topics range from Animal Production and Protection, to Aquaculture, to Rural and Community Development, to Small and Mid-sized Farms. At least 60 Maine companies have benefitted from this funding. If you are a Maine small business developing an innovative technology, product, or service, we encourage you to attend this free workshop. USDA only issues one solicitation a year, typically due in October. It is never too early to start planning your project and preparing an application and we’d love to help you determine eligibility and fit for this program.
This workshop will include an overview of the program by a USDA SBIR Program Manager and presentation by Karen West, the Maine Technology Institute’s SBIR/STTR expert.
Log in details will be sent to registered attendees prior to the event.
